So it has been 30 days and I am looking at a picture from 30 days ago, the day after the surgery and I have all these little blood scabs on top of my head which of course is because I have been poked and prodded 3500 times to recipient sites to place my donor area hair. So of course I have all these 3500 little scabs of blood on top of my head and now today I am all nice and clean. There is no more scab which leads me to my story. In the last blog we noticed I had the sutures removed out the back of my head. That was on day 12 and that was really, really good because the tightness went away. So I was like the first phase of realizing things were getting better the healing process was advancing the first 30 days. Here is the second one. This is actually it is kind of worse so be prepared it is not the most pleasant story. On day 18 that is 6 days after the sutures were removed, I am in lying bed and I feel this itch on top of my head and I have been very sensitive all month. I am still sensitive today but I started rubbing it and these scabs got falling off my head like I have got dandruff but it wasnt dandruff it wasnt that bad. Just little blood scabs. So it becomes addictive just keep rubbing, rubbing and rubbing because I wanted to get these things off of me. I looked down and I got blood scabs all over the bed sheets and over my shoulders and you know I guess that I was covered in blood scabs it was kind of grotesque. But the cool thing about it is that it means I am unhealing. This first 30 days it has been a roller coaster the surgery and the sensitivity and beginning few days you are so sensitive you dont want to rub your hair you are afraid you are going to reverse the process and take all the hair out. Then twelve days in the sutures were removed which makes things much much more comfortable and after day 18 all these blood scabs came off. So now I am on day 30 all nice and clean and normal just wait for the hair growing in so tick tock tick.
